The Challenge

Sir Fazle Hasan Abed founded BRAC in 1972 with a single relief operation in a country shattered by war. Five decades later it is the world's largest NGO — more than 100 million people reached across 11 countries. Hope Over Fate is the feature documentary record of that work, commissioned by BRAC Bank PLC. The project began as an original story built on BRAC archive research, then grew into a commissioned production held to broadcast and festival standards rather than a corporate profile — which meant the institutional side had to be handled properly, from footage and photographs to archival documents.

The Solution

01Developed the original story from BRAC archive research — the narrative sits on real history rather than invented backdrop, under my creative direction

02As Chief Assistant Director, managed the full production schedule, crew coordination, and call sheets from pre-production through post-production handoff

03As IT Lead, owned the digital infrastructure — file management, archival digitization workflow, equipment coordination, and technical problem-solving on and off set

04Liaised directly with BRAC Bank on institutional assets — the formal exchange of footage, photographs, archival documents, and written materials
